SUSAN ALBAN
Chief People Officer | Operating Partner
As Renegade Partners’ Chief People Officer and Operating Partner, Susan works directly with portfolio companies to help them build people organizations capable of scaling. Prior to joining Renegade as the first Operating Partner in 2020, Susan was VP of People at Zume, where she helped grow the company from ~30 employees to over 500. She previously led operations, marketing, sales, and account management in the Bay Area as General Manager at Uber, where she also launched the company’s delivery businesses, UberEATS and UberRUSH. She built the team from zero to ~50, and GMV from $0 at launch to $100M+ in just two years. Prior to Uber, Susan did business development, SMB sales, and operations at Milo, a startup acquired by eBay, where she served as a Senior Product Manager.
Susan started her career at McKinsey & Company, consulting for healthcare and consumer products businesses, with a focus on M&A and growth. After McKinsey, Susan joined CHB Capital Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, where she spent three years investing and supporting CHB’s portfolio companies. Susan has a degree in Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She lives in Boulder with her family and loves to hike and downhill ski as much as possible.
